✨ For councils, animal charities and shelters

Management made simple and humane.

Your town's shelter and feline colonies under control: the official reports come out ready and every council sees its own, whoever runs the centre.

All-in-one management

Everything your centre needs, in one place

In many animal shelters the information is scattered across spreadsheets or documents that only one person can open, which causes mistakes, lost data and slow processes.

With Kobijo, everything changes.

The platform brings together and organises everything the shelter knows — from each animal's medical history to its adoptions, temporary care or photographs — so the whole team can work together, safely, from any device.

Animal protection centre management

The whole centre, not just the list of animals

The market is full of software for feline colonies. Software that runs a whole animal protection centre — intakes and outcomes, adoptions, temporary custody, veterinary care, medication and the reports you have to file — is scarce. Kobijo was built for the second kind.

“Where is this animal right now?”

In its pen, with its record and its latest movement right beside it. No need to ask anyone or walk down to check.

“How did it come in, and who picked it up?”

Pick-up, hand-in, surrender or donation: every intake with its date, the town it came from and the person who recorded it.

“Is it under custody? Until when?”

Temporary custody carries its expected end date, so the deadline is seen coming instead of missed.

“What has it been given, and from which batch?”

The veterinary history keeps every procedure with its product, its dose and its batch number. Antibiotics included.

“Who adopted it, and when?”

Adoptions, returns to the owner, surrenders and transfers, each one with the details of whoever took the animal.

“Were the police or health authorities involved?”

It is flagged on the movement itself, along with the notifications sent to the council and to the owner.

And the reports come out of that, without typing anything twice

What is recorded day to day is what fills the quarterly return, the annual report and the census. There is no second job at the end of the quarter: the work is already done.

The centre dashboard: occupancy, intakes and outcomes by type, average stay and breakdown by town.
At a glance

What is going on in the centre, on one screen

The dashboard is not decoration: it is where the answer comes from when a council meeting, an annual report or a phone call asks how many animals there are, how many came in this quarter or which towns they came from.

✓ Occupancy and free places, right now.

✓ Intakes and outcomes by type, with the previous period alongside for comparison.

✓ Average length of stay: how long an animal really takes to leave.

✓ The breakdown by town, which is what each council wants to see of its own.

✓ And the legal deadlines: how many in process, how many ready for adoption and how many need action.

✓ For colonies, the heat map: each one changes colour according to the incidents it has open, so the problem shows up before anyone tells you.

Cat Colony Management

Ethical monitoring of colonies through geolocation and censuses. Map your colonies and manage their feeders.

Interactive Maps

See all your colonies on an interactive map, in real time.

Feeders Register

A database of volunteers with permissions and digital ID cards.

Campaigns and Health

TNR programme management, deworming and health monitoring.

Feeders, authorised and with every step on record

Whoever feeds a colony does so backed by the centre, and what they do is recorded. The day a neighbour complains, the answer is not what someone remembers: it is what is on file.

✓ A digital pass with their photo, ID number and expiry date, which anyone can check from a phone by scanning a code.

✓ Every visit to the colony is clocked in from the phone: who went, to which colony and when.

✓ Incidents are reported with a photo, a date and a colony, and the centre sees them straight away.

✓ Inspections are closed with their report, their attached documents and the follow-up visit committed to.

Technology designed for people

App and virtual ID card

Your volunteers carry their digital ID card on their phone. They can clock in, report incidents and upload photos in seconds.

Public heat map

Encourage transparency. Share an anonymised interactive map on your website to show the public how the colonies are being managed.

Automatic registrations

Forget about printing ID cards. The system issues the permits automatically and all you do is approve the requests.

The map uses OpenStreetMap, an external service. It loads once you accept functional cookies.

Technology at the service of feline welfare

Our platform gives you the full picture of the colonies in your municipality. Spot problem areas, plan neutering campaigns and work efficiently with the authorities.

Gatos de colonia
Feline colonies and the law

What the law puts in the council’s hands, recorded and ready to prove

Spain’s Law 7/2023 on animal rights and welfare puts the colony census, the TNR method, the health plan and the accreditation of carers in the hands of local authorities. Kobijo is where all of that is written down and can be shown.

✓

Census and identification

Every cat with its record, its microchip and its photo. Every colony with its official registration number and its place on the map.

✓

TNR method

Trap, neuter and return: the status of every cat and whether it has been neutered, colony by colony.

✓

A health plan with the evidence

Vaccinations, deworming and neutering with their date, their batch number, the next appointment and the vet who carried them out.

✓

Accredited carers

A pass with photo, ID number and expiry date, verifiable from a phone: whoever asks can check it on the spot.

✓

A protocol for incidents

From the carer’s phone straight to the centre, with a photo and a date, and followed up until it is closed.

✓

And the paperwork, when it is needed

Inspection records with their attached documents and the follow-up visit committed to, ready to go with a technical report.

The feeder’s screen on a phone: clock in a feeding and report an incident. The feeder’s pass on a phone, with its verification code.

Whoever looks after the colony carries it on their phone: they clock in, report and show their pass. Nothing to install.

Feline colonies and Spain's Animal Welfare Act for local councils

Public sector

For councils and municipal services

The reports you have to submit stop being put together by hand, and each municipality looks up its own whenever it needs to.

If you are a council

Your town logs in with its own account and sees its own data whenever it wants, without asking anyone or waiting to be sent it. It makes no difference whether you run the centre yourself or a company runs it: the information is yours and you see it whenever you like.

  • ✓ Animal movements and carcass collections for your municipality, downloadable to Excel.
  • ✓ Your municipality only: you do not see your neighbours' data, nor they yours.
  • ✓ Cat colony inspection records, with their report and follow-up.

If you manage several municipalities

Joint authorities, consortia and provincial councils: one centre serving several municipalities and accountable to each of them separately.

  • ✓ Every movement is allocated to its municipality: the breakdown is already done, there is nothing to redo.
  • ✓ You create each council's account yourself, without depending on us.
  • ✓ If you run more than one centre, a single login for all of them.

The official reports come out ready

Quarterly returns for movements and veterinary procedures, and the annual report, ready to submit and exportable to Excel. And the legal deadlines for all 19 autonomous regions and cities come preloaded, so the system knows the legal status of every record without anyone keeping a separate calendar.

We bring over your history — records, movements and documents — so you do not start from scratch. Each case is looked at separately and quoted individually.

Full Connectivity

Your centre, connected to the world

We do not sell websites: we provide the connection. If your council or your association already has a site — or a supplier runs it — the animals up for adoption can appear there on their own, with nobody copying them by hand. And if what your IT department needs is the data, it gets it as JSON through a secure API.

* Available only on Centre Management plans.

1

1. You update Kobijo

Carry on working as usual: add records and upload photos. You decide which animals are public, and you stay in control at all times.

2

2. The API synchronises

The API picks up the changes and produces a standard data file (JSON) with the public information.

3

3. It is published on your website

Your website reads that data and automatically shows the animals available. If one is adopted in Kobijo, it disappears from the website straight away.

Multi-Centre Manager Module

For councils and management companies

A single login to manage several registered facilities.
Ideal for organisations running several animal shelters.

Still running it on a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet will not keep track of deadlines for you, will not store the photo of an incident and will not produce the quarterly return. Kobijo is built for this and nothing else — animal protection centres and feline colonies — so there is nothing to adapt from software meant for something else.

Short routes

Registering an animal, recording its movement and signing it out are three screens in the system, not three sheets to reconcile afterwards.

Deadlines that keep themselves

The legal deadlines for all 19 regions and autonomous cities come preloaded, and the status of every record updates itself every night.

And the return, already done

The quarterly return and the annual report come out of the system; they are not pieced together the night before they are due.

No commitment

Try it yourself, today

We have a demo environment running the real system, not a video. Fill in the form below and we will give you access straight away, by email too.

It is wiped and reset every night at 04:00, so you can poke around without any fear of breaking something.
